Hamburger SV lose ground in the second Bundesliga: In the 25th round, the North Germans lost the traditional duel against 1. FC Nuremberg. Franks are working near the landing zone.

In a fast-paced and challenging top match, 1. FC Nürnberg beat Hamburger SV 2-1 (1-1) in the second German Bundesliga. Full back Tim Handwerker scored the famous winning goal in the 88th minute of the match with his weaker right foot.

In front of 25,000 spectators at the all-sold-out Max Morlock stadium, Pascal Köpke scored for Franconia (min 15) and Ludovit Reis (25) for HSV. Nuremberg beat HSV (41) with 42 points and, after a short winning streak, is back to fight for promotion.

The game started intensely. Both teams tried to gain strength in front of the opposite goal. Taylan Doman of Nuremberg tried it from a distance. Striker Koepke pushed the ball past the goal after a cross from Kilian Fischer. On the other hand, Georgi Chakvetadze couldn’t get past FCN goalkeeper Christian Matinha and Asger Sorensen, who put things right together.

Shortly thereafter, Nuremberg cheered: after a brilliant dribble by Fabian Nurnberger, Hamburg’s Mario Voskovic could only defend the cross with an intervention – Koepke converted the fastest on the ground and rushed to give the “club” the lead.

But the jubilation on the field did not last long. Bakery Jatta won for the dominant Hamburgers on the right wing, returning the ball to Reese, who finished off the ball in the left corner. In the second half, the level of the difficult match was leveled. But it kept sweeping. Handwerker forced a shot from Daniel Hoyer Fernandez to defend with a fist (58th position). The next time the defender tried, the HSV goalkeeper was unable to get the ball.
