The most expensive and strongest Swiss brands
According to a new brand study, food manufacturer Nestlé and telecommunications group Swisscom are the two largest Swiss brands. But other players also play in the Premier League.
Coffee, chocolate and breakfast cereals: The world’s largest food manufacturer Nestlé of western Switzerland remains by far the most valuable Swiss brand – more than twice the value of its rival, banking brand UBS. This is what was posted today “Brand Finance Switzerland 50” 2022 report Outside.
With a brand value of 19.2 billion Swiss francs, Nestlé is the most valuable brand in Switzerland. UBS with 8.7 billion Swiss francs, and pharmaceutical company Roche with 8.3 billion Swiss francs trail them farther on the platform.
The luxury watchmaker Rolex and the insurance company Zurich both fell to fourth and fifth places.
The best brands in terms of strength
However, the “strongest” brand in Switzerland is Swisscom. With 88.8 out of a possible 100 points, telecom giant and chocolate brand Lindt pushed last year’s winner Roche into third place.
According to the company, brand “strength” is used to measure the non-monetary or non-monetary aspects of the brand in relation to interest groups and the brand’s effectiveness in competition.
Among the strongest brands this year, there are a few brands from the midfield. Example: Geberit, the “globally active hidden champion” of health tech, rose from 27th to ninth place, the press release says.
This puts Geberit behind the Logitech brand, which jumped from 40th to 8th. Basel-based chemical and pharmaceutical company Lonza has had a similar strong performance and is now ranked 5th (from 25th).
