NBA madness! The United States is surprised by the Frenchman Victor Wembanyama (19)

Sports fans in the United States were amazed: mega-talent Victor Wimpanyama scored more than 30 points in an NBA game for the first time in his career and led the San Antonio Spurs to a clear victory over the ambitious Phoenix Suns. The 19-year-old Frenchman scored 38 points at 132:121 Thursday evening (local time), as well as 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a stolen ball from the opponent.

This is the third victory for the Spurs in the fifth game this season, while the Suns lost their star Kevin Durant for the second time in three days to their guest, Texas. Wembanyama has already played a key role in Tottenham’s success at 114:115 on Tuesday (local time).

Dennis Schröder and the Toronto Raptors were defeated

With his height of 2.24 meters and the technical skills of a developmental player, Wimbanyama is considered the greatest basketball talent since LeBron James. He was selected by the Spurs first overall in the draft.

Tottenham allowed the hosts to equalize in the last quarter after being ahead by 27 points, but then withdrew again thanks to ten more points from the Frenchman.

The Orlando Magic won another NBA game with two narrow losses in Los Angeles and beat the Utah Jazz. The team, led by world basketball champions Franz Wagner and Moritz Wagner, gave up a seven-point lead in the final 100 seconds, but scored 115:113. In the third win of the season in the fifth game, Magic professional Paolo Banchero showed his best performance with 30 points and 9 rebounds. Franz Wagner had 21 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Moritz Wagner had 10 points and two blocks.

Meanwhile, national team captain Dennis Schröder and the Toronto Raptors lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 99:114. Schroder had his third straight double-double with 13 points and 10 assists, but he was no longer able to stop the 76ers, led by reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid, with increased playing time. In the first game since James Harden moved from Philadelphia to the Los Angeles Clippers, Embiid scored 28 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and provided 7 assists. Schroder’s teammate Scotty Barnes was Toronto’s most successful shooter with 24 points. (AW/DPA)
