Musikverein Vitis – Race Across America – spring concert across the pond

Vitis Music Association invites people to the 42nd spring concert on April 7th at Kastas Pichler in Vitis. Race across America Describes a musical arc that immerses listeners in America's landscapes and eras. The audience enjoyed a very lively and engaging concert.

Chairman Ines Kainz welcomed many guests, including Mayor Anette Töpfl, representatives of sponsors (Company Appel, Hofrat Herbert Boden, Raiffeisenbank Vitis, Elk, Farb & Wohnen Müllner, kpp Consulting and Chimney Sweep Semler). Honorary members Johann Wurz, Franz Suess and Eduard Ritter attended the concert, along with many fellow musicians from the surrounding communities.

Awards and Honours

Stefan Pfaunz, band member of the Eggenburg Citizens Corps, was delighted to honor the members. Katharina Harmon (clarinet), Matthias Kapauer (flugelhorn) and Moritz Bittermann (percussion) won the Bronze Performance Badge. Silver performance badges went to horn players Miriam Bauer and Andreas Witthalm and Wolfgang Bauer (duba). Victoria Hirsch (tenor horn) and John Whithalm (duba) received gold achievement badges. Chief of Staff Deputy Yvonne Lockner achieved the Chief of Staff badge.

A silver medal for membership of at least 25 years went to Anita Troll (bass clarinet). Leopold Hofbauer (trumpet), Wolfgang Bauer (duba) and Günther Vogler (flugelhorn) have received gold medals from the music club for more than 40 years. It was topped only by Vincenzo Koller (saxophone), who has been loyal to the Whites Music Club for over 50 years. For this he was awarded a gold medal with an additional clasp.
