- In an abuse complex in the western German city of Münster, the 28-year-old main defendant is sentenced to 14 years in prison.
- This is due to serious sexual abuse of children in 29 cases.
The 28-year-old is considered a key figure in the trial along with four other defendants, which ended on Tuesday. In the time following his arrest, the Munster District Court ordered that the IT technician be held under preventive detention due to the risk of recurrence.
The mother is also convicted
The punishment for the other men is: 10 years imprisonment for a man from Hanover (36) for 4 cases, 11 years and 6 months for a 43-year-old man from Schorfheide in Brandenburg for 5 cases and 12 years for 31 years of age for 6 cases .
The court also ordered the pretrial detention of these men. This largely followed the prosecutor’s request. The mother of an IT technician (46) is supposed to be imprisoned for 5 years for aiding and abetting her. The prosecutor has pleaded for 6 years. Judgments are not final yet.
One of the three main cases of abuse
Besides Lügde and Bergisch Gladbach, Münster is one of three major cases of abuse in recent years in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The case came to light in June 2020 after investigations into the gazebo.
Meanwhile, there were arrests in many federal states and abroad. Five men have already been sentenced to prison terms in the complex. In total, investigators have identified more than 50 suspects, about 30 of whom are currently in custody.
