LG and free streaming service Pluto TV has announced the expansion of their partnership. Another LG WebOS app is also available:
Pluto TV channels are now available on all LG TVs running WebOS 3.0 or higher in Germany and other select European markets.
The app was originally scheduled to be released in January 2021 for LG Smart TVs with WebOS versions up to 4.0 (DIGITAL FERNSEHEN) mentioned). At the end of May, support for LG TVs of 2017 (WebOS 3.5) and 2016 (WebOS 3.0) models was extended.
A list of over 100 Pluto TV channels will soon be available
In addition, a curated list of over 100 Pluto TV channels will be available in Germany, France, Spain and the UK through LG Channels service later this year.
The Pluto TV app gives LG Smart TV owners free access to popular TV series and movies. You can watch live TV as well as the content available there. Consumers have access to a selection of nearly 1,000 movies, such as the global classic Star Trek or “The Ring.” There is also a special children’s program for a younger audience with popular Nickelodeon shows and animations.
Spotfiy Video Podcast for the big screen
Customers using LG Smart TVs with WebOS versions 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 and 6.0 can now enjoy Spotify Video Podcasts. This makes LG one of the first TV manufacturers to support video service. The functionality is now available on compatible TVs from the manufacturer in 105 countries around the world.
With the new function, free and premium Spotify users can “visually” watch popular audio video episodes.
