Publisher Assemble Entertainment has announced the release of Metroidvania Mira and Legend of the Djinns. Developed by Little Knight Games, this 2D pixel art Metroidvania is heavily inspired by Moroccan and Berber culture and will be released in 2023 for PC. “Mira and the Legend of the Djinns” also ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising $24,000 from 600 backers. As part of this year’s Guerrilla Collective 3, the trailer for the trailer for “Mira and the Legend of the Djinns” was shown exclusively live.
“Mira and the Legend of the Djinns” offers classic Metroidvania features such as clear boss battles, diverse biomes, four different weapons with endless combinations of attacks, special attacks, artifacts and items, an unused environment reminiscent of “Prince of Persia” and exciting A spiritual story about protagonist Yuba and his companion Mira-dshinn.
The centerpiece of the story around “Mera and the Legend of the Djinn” is the adventurer Yuba, who found Mera in his travels – the first jinn that the human race had seen in generations. But Mira seems to have no memories of her past or of the catastrophe that plunged the kingdom of Amazigh into chaos. Yuba decides to help Mira and enters into a spiritual alliance with her. Together, the two travel through the devastated and devastated world of Amazgesh to find their lost memories and find out what happened to their country and its people. In classic 2D Metroidvania style, Mira and Yuba cross vast expanses of desert ocean, meeting new friends and fierce enemies along the way. Together, the two track priceless artifacts, explore dangerous ruins, battle mutant creatures and corrupt spirits, and confront the cause of the catastrophe that destroyed the world of Mira and gave birth to Yuba’s world.
