“Trooping the Color” is the annual military parade that takes place in mid-June in the British capital, London, in honor of the birth of the British monarch.

This time the traditional occasion doesn't seem to have a good star: King Charles will drive a carriage due to his cancer – instead of taking part in the parade on horseback.

Princess Kate avoided public appearances for several months due to her cancer. She's with one letter I apologize for missing the show rehearsal.

Charles has to take the offer from the cart

This year, King Charles will have to attend the Trooping the Colour military parade from a carriage rather than on horseback.

This doesn't seem like a big problem for non-blue blooded people. As for the British monarch, the issue of transportation on this traditional occasion is a decision of symbolic importance.

In June 2023, in the first year of his reign, Charles rode on the back of his black mare Noble. The king conveyed that despite his advanced age, he still held the reins firmly in his hand.

According to British media, Charles would have liked to sit on a horse in the parade from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Square this year in order to show himself as a king who is not broken by cancer and is still fit.

But now it seems his doctors have prevailed and wanted to move the 75-year-old king to a carriage:

Buckingham Palace announced that the King will travel on the parade route in a Landau carriage next Saturday.

Kate: “I hope I can represent you again soon.”

Princess Kate is likely to be the big absentee from this year's Trooping the Color parade.

So the 42-year-old is in one Letter to the Irish Guards Regiment She apologized for her absence from the military parade rehearsal yesterday due to her cancer.

Kate was supposed to participate in the rehearsal (“Colonel's Review”) because she held the honorary title of “Colonel of the Irish Guards.”

In her letter, the Princess says how proud she is of the regiment and wishes them good luck. “Please convey my apologies to the entire regiment,” the message reads. “I hope I can represent you all again soon.”

The army caused confusion with its announcement

The military caused confusion last March when it announced on its website that Princess Kate would participate in training for this year's military parade.

The entry was later deleted again. The sample was taken on Saturday by Lieutenant General James Bucknall. About 1,400 soldiers and more than 200 horses are deployed in “Trooping the Color.”
