Reality star Kim Kardashian, 41, claims to have walked the red carpet at the Met Gala in an original Marilyn Monroe dress (1926-1962).
The actress wore it when she sang a birthday song for then-President of the United States John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) in 1962. Kardashian said on the red carpet at a Monday night event when she tried on the dress, she didn’t like it at first.
No sugar, no carbohydrates
Then she had to lose about seven kilograms – within four weeks. Kardashian said she’s looking forward to the after-Met Ball party. “I haven’t eaten carbs or sugar in three weeks – when we get back to the hotel there’s a pizza party and donut rings.”
Kardashian wore a white jacket over a shimmering beige dress, and she also dyed her hair platinum blonde — also based on Monroe.
Just wear the red carpet
The original dress has been auctioned multiple times and now belongs to a series of Museums of Curiosity, said fashion magazine Vogue, whose publisher is co-host of the Met Gala. Kardashian only wore it to walk the red carpet and then changed her outfit to avoid damaging the dress.

The Kardashian side showed off her new friend, comedian Pete Davidson (28), in a black suit. “She wouldn’t let me wear my hat with the fan on, but that’s okay,” Davidson joked. (SDA/euc)
