Melanie Ochs warns fans about scammers on Instagram
A letter from Melanie Ochs – a dream for many of her fans. But now scammers are taking advantage of this and pretending to be a jodel writer. Oesch is now warning Instagram subscribers about online scammers.
Melanie Ochs, 34, struggles with cyber scammers. So the yodeller turns to her fans. “Unfortunately, there are more and more fake profiles pretending to be Melanie Ochs,” she explains in an Instagram post.
They may respond to comments from their followers and “attract you to other sites or even ask you to send a private message.” The musician wants to prevent it.
Melanie Ochs wishes for honesty in the digital world
“Please don’t do that,” she pleads with her fans and asserts: “Always pay attention to the blue tick next to the profile name – that’s the only original.” It also asks to report fake profiles. In closing, she told her fans, “So I am grateful to you if you would help me and many others here to contribute to ensuring that we also live justice and honesty in our digital worlds.” (BSN)
