In five seasons in the Swiss Super League with Zürich (2), Xamax Neuchâtel (1) and Lugano (2), the educated defender, who plays as a striker in the United States, has never scored more than two goals. He has now scored in four consecutive games for the Chicago Fire: against Toronto (4:1/a), Orlando (2:4/a), Seattle (1:2/a) and now Philadelphia (h) once each.
Marine Haile Selassie opened the scoring after 30 minutes. In the last eight minutes, Chicago Fire came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3. On-loan player Alan Arrigoni (from Lugano) played like Haile Selassie at Chicago Fire.
Chicago remains in 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings, three points behind teams in the playoff spots.
In St. Louis, goalkeeper and captain Roman Burki scored in a 2-0 win over San Jose. St. Louis is six points out of the Western Conference playoff spots.
