Motorrad-Comeback in Spanien

Marc Marquez is back on the bike: Training in Aragon / MotoGP

MotoGP star Marc Marquez returned to the track for the first time on a motorcycle on Wednesday. The Spaniard drove a Honda CBR600RR around the kart track at Motorland Aragón.

Stefan Bradel confirmed this week that he expects Marc Marquez to return with his Honda RC213V in Misano. The German is still on his side for the weekend’s race, but Honda is counting on the return of the Spanish superstar talent in the next test on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Marquez has decided to withdraw immediately from the MotoGP World Championships at the Mugello GP in order to have another operation on his upper right arm. The 29-year-old flew to the USA for the operation. Last week, a factory Honda rider underwent a CT scan again, which resulted in him being allowed to ride again.

Then the much-anticipated return to the racetrack took place on Wednesday. Marquez ventured back to the track on his Honda CBR600RR. On the kart circuit in Motorland Aragon, the Spaniard led the first laps after a break of more than three months.

Then the eight-time MotoGP world champion commented on his Instagram profile. “Today I can’t stop smiling. After so much effort, I am finally back on the bike,” said the Honda star. “Thank you to everyone who always supports me. Let’s go on.”
