In the end, the Manthey-Porsche 911 GT3 R, which got its “nickname” from the attractive color scheme (Grello is made of green/green and yellow/yellow), finished in second place and thus on the podium. With Thomas Preening (Austria), Kevin Estre (France) and Ayhancan Güven (Turkey), the 'Grello' car won the checkered flag after just 50 laps.

The race was stopped due to persistent fog and was flagged off early after a restart behind the safety car. The race result is also the team's second win in the second race of the InterContinental GT Challenge.

Even at the start of the long-distance classic at Green Hell on Saturday, there were challenging conditions on the 25.378-kilometre track that includes the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. Increased rainfall made the track dry again and fog caused. After nearly seven and a half hours, the Manthey EMA Porsche (in third place) saw the red flag at 11:22pm due to dense fog.

After just more than 14 hours, the race resumed on Sunday morning at 1:30 pm behind the safety car. Due to the weather conditions not improving, the race was canceled more than an hour before the “24-hour deadline.” The Manthey EMA thus finished the historically shortest 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in second place.
