Over and over again Nicolas Duvidan! 1. FC Nürnberg jumps to third in the table with a 3-1 victory at Erzgebirge Aue. The club gave direction early in the game. Not even two minutes were played when Dovidan scored 1-0 from close range. Dovidan immediately misses the second hit with the next (fifth) chance. Then it shook on the other side: Jan Hoschedt controlled an actual shot from Nicholas Kuhn and shoved the ball past FCN goalkeeper Christian Matteña to equalize. Nuremberg did not allow itself to be disturbed and pressured to drive again. After 22 minutes, it was Dovidan again who left no chance for Aue goalkeeper Martin Manel from less than six metres.

After the break, the guests were closer to 3-1 than Aue for a tie. Robert Klaus’ team had to take one blame – despite the best possible chances, they didn’t make the decision initially. After just 81 minutes, Dovidan made the ball strong again and used a counter-attack to make it 3-1. The 27-year-old Austrian was the player of the day with three goals.

In the race to catch up with the top spots, 1. FC Heidenheim won 2-1 at SC Paderborn. The match was fairly harmless in the first round. The guests were the slightly stronger team and, like Paderborn, had few chances to score the first goal. After the break, things similarly continued in restraint. After just 64 minutes, the fencing speed with two studs rapidly increased in quick succession. SCP first guard Yannick Huth applauded a direct free kick from Tobias Mohr in front of Patrick Mainca’s foot (64), then Jonas Karls equalized in return after a model from Sven Michel (65th place).
After the tie, both teams were not satisfied with the points split. Heidenheim put more pressure and did not advance again in the 81st minute. Norman Thurkopf put the ball perfectly on Tim Kleindienst. The striker did not hesitate and pushed the ball into the left corner. Paderborn did not have a good chance in the final stage. Consequently, East Westphalia had to get a second consecutive home bankruptcy.
An important victory in the fight to stay in the league! Ingolstadt, bottom of the standings, scored only the second hat-trick of the season with a 3-0 win over Dynamo Dresden. The home side made a real lightning start. After a free kick from the wing, the ball fell in front of the feet of Niko Antonic, who only had to push from close range (the first). Ingolstadt stayed on the trigger and scored the second goal after 17 minutes. After a superb cross by Marcel Gauss, Stefan Kochke headed towards the penalty area, and Kevin Eilers of Dresden unfortunately hit the ball into his net.
After a strong first half of the bottom light, Dynamo coach Alexander Schmidt responded with a double change. But not much has changed on the field. Ingolstadt was still safe and compact. Dresden came to a few offensive actions. But this was also due to the fact that Rudiger Rehm’s team defended hard and did not give the opponent any space. A good performance before the end was rewarded with a third goal. After a corner kick, Felipe Belbija took the 3-0 win.
