(AWP) Biotech company Kuros Biosciences has successfully launched a MagnetOs orthopedic implant. The company announced, on Wednesday, that sales of the company’s main product exceeded its expectations.
Direct sales of MagnetOs in the USA accelerated in the first quarter of 2021 with an increase of 117% over the same quarter of the previous year. In Europe, third-party distribution agreements have recently been signed in Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and France. These complement existing distributor network agreements in Switzerland and Great Britain.
In the UK, the company has also won a major tender through its UK distributor Axis Spine for the supply of spine and orthopedic implants, consumables and equipment to NHS National Services Scotland. And in Australia, demand has also risen sharply, the company continues.
“The fact that we are moving so quickly amid hospital outages and travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic is a testament to the value of our flagship product and the commitment of our sales team,” CEO Joost de Bruijn said in the press release.
