Konolfingen takes second place in the Minergie 2021 ranking

The Mayor Heinz Sutter received an air quality meter and a voucher for school units from the electronic line at Minergie-Rating 2021.

Minergie has again selected the municipalities of Bern that have built and certified most of them according to the Minergie Standard since 1998, and especially in the last two years, and thus make a significant contribution to climate protection. The awards ceremony was held on Friday, October 29, 2021 as part of the Energy Group’s Energy Future Days in Geumligen.

The awards were handed over by Ulrich Niveniger, President of the Cantonal Office for Environmental Coordination and Energy, Canton of Bern, in the presence of Bertrand Piccard and Director of Minergie, Andreas Mayer Primaevsee.

Educating young people about energy conscious behavior

“The canton of Bern needs Minergie to pave the way for its energy policy,” said Ulrich Nyffenegger in praise of the Minergie Association, and “it is impressive how the municipalities that have won the Minergie classification today realize their exemplary function in energy and climate policy.”

Each of the winning municipalities received an air quality scale. The municipalities that got first and second places also received a voucher for school units from the electronic line on the topic of energy. The goal of the interactive school units is to educate as many young people as possible about energy-conscious behaviour.
