Kirby tops – PS5 sales remain flat

Hardly any video game character is as popular in Japan as Kirby. So it’s no surprise that the pink champ has once again climbed to the top. With about 189,000 sales, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe was the best-selling game in the last week of February.

Another new release, “Octopath Traveler II”, comes in at number two. This is the Switch version, while the PS5 version ranks eighth.

The recently released new version “Like A Dragon: Ishin” was also a huge hit. The PS4 version comes in third, followed by the PS5 version. In all, the action-adventure hit 67,336 sales.

Hogwarts Legacy, the best performer of the past two weeks, has fallen to sixth place. Warner Bros. sold it. A total of 126,086 units on Japanese soil.

The remaining four spots go to Nintendo games. These include Pokémon Crimson and Crimson, Splatoon 3, ARK: Survival Evolved, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

For consoles, the PlayStation 5 leads for the fifth time in a row. Compared to last week, sales figures have remained quite flat: instead of 88,833 sales, Sony has found 91,729 buyers. Nintendo sold 61,384 of the three Switch models.
