In the “Trooping the Colour” birthday parade in honor of King Charles, there is a touching moment between the king and his daughter-in-law Catherine on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

This year's Trooping the Color parade in honor of King Charles, 75, is certainly one of the most emotional celebrations of the year. Surprisingly, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, announced that she would attend the celebration despite her cancer. She will be given a special tribute on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

King Charles wants Kate to stand by him

They are finally reunited! The royal family gathers on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and there is a noticeable change: King Charles stands next to Kate instead of Prince William, as was the case in 2023. With this, the British monarch makes a statement. His relationship with the 42-year-old is close and he wants her by his side. Thus, he welcomes her back to the public in a special way and shows that he supports her in this major appearance.

You can also see the loving moments between the two on the balcony again and again. They talk to each other, and laugh. She leaned into him several times and he was pleased with what she said. The past few months haven't been easy for them, but it's even better that they support each other.

Last year, Prince William stood by Charles

Last year, it was Prince William who sat to his father's right. As the heir to the throne, it seems logical that he is the closest to him and is placed there. On the other side was Queen Camilla, who will stand by his side again in 2024. However, their position in the parade was much more central and Charles moved slightly to the right.

An exhilarating return

It was already clear how happy King Charles was with his daughter-in-law participating in the Christmas celebrations. According to British media, the 75-year-old was “delighted” to have Kate there. According to a representative of the British Royal Family: “His Majesty is delighted that the Princess will be able to participate in tomorrow’s events and is very much looking forward to all parts of today.” Shortly before, the British princess herself announced that she would participate in the show. How wonderful that they were able to spend this special day together as a family.
