They represent five signs you should pay attention to when you take a closer look at your skin — especially moles.

B means restrictionBirthmarks and moles should be clearly defined and have even edges. Blurred, torn, or irregular borders can indicate skin cancer. (Pictured: Cindy Crawford, whose mole is as famous as hers)

C stands for color (Color): Healthy birthmarks and moles are usually a uniform color. On the other hand, melanomas have different shades and color intensities. Pink, gray, or black dots can also indicate black melanoma.

D indicates diameter: If the mole or birthmark is larger than five millimeters, caution should be exercised – and it is recommended to visit a dermatologist. Melanomas are often more than six millimeters in diameter.

E means sublimity: If moles or moles rise more than a millimeter above the skin and the surface is rough and scaly, this may also indicate skin cancer.

E for developmentOne of the most important points to consider when looking at birthmarks or moles is the development of the spot. Experts recommend checking the signs regularly. This could save lives, according to skin experts at the University of California San Francisco.

If two or more of these criteria apply, the abnormal mole should be examined by a dermatologist.

A year ago, Khloe Kardashian had to remove a dangerous skin tumor.
-
Now I’ve shared an update on my healing process. “I am completely cancer free,” she wrote on Instagram.

At the same time, she encourages her fans to get regular checkups with a dermatologist.
It started with a small dot on my cheek. “For about a year I thought it was a pimple,” Khloe Kardashian, 39, wrote on Instagram. But it turned out to be one It was a skin tumor that needed to be removed. That was in October 2022.
Now, almost a year later, the reality TV star is showing off his healing process: from the stitches to the dent left after it was removed. She has now filled this again with injections. “I definitely checked first if it was medically safe to do so,” Khloe says. She waited nine months before undergoing filler treatment. She thanked her doctor, Dr. Fisher. “Not only did he remove the tumor, but he also made sure I was completely cancer-free.”

Chloe: “I’m glad my face is back to normal.”
In another story slide, the 39-year-old shows a before-and-after comparison. The dent has visibly receded. “I look great in these pictures. I am so happy that my face is slowly returning to normal. I don’t have words for it.”
Of course, the dent wasn’t her biggest concern in the first place. “I would rather have any wound than any other skin cancer.” Melanoma is the technical name for black skin cancer. More than five million skin cancer diagnoses are made in the United States each year. According to the Cancer League, about 3,100 people in Switzerland develop skin cancer every yearwith men and women affected almost equally often.
Khloe Kardashian developed a tumor at the age of nineteen
Khloe Kardashian wants to share her medical history Issue a warning. “I encourage everyone to see a dermatologist regularly and get skin cancer screenings. Screening can save your life. Even if you think there’s nothing there, it doesn’t hurt to get it checked out.” The TV personality also expresses her gratitude and humility. “I thank God for protecting me.”
This is not the first time an American has had a malignant tumor removed. When she was 19, she developed skin cancer on her back. She may use enough sunscreen daily, but she has a genetic predisposition and is therefore at higher risk, as she explained on Instagram last year.
It all started with a small dot on the face. “I never thought it was skin cancer.”
