Jörg Pilawa is one of Germany’s most recognizable TV faces and is a magnet in ARD. Now he is changing employers. However, viewers will continue to see it on Das Erste for several months.

TV presenter Jörg Bilawa and ARD go their separate ways. According to a report by Bild newspaper The famous test master moves to the special broadcaster Sat.1. “In one district, I have worked for ARD and NDR for more than 20 years, where I have been able to deliver many great and, above all, successful formats,” said the 56-year-old. “I am so grateful to ARD and especially NDR for that. Of course you are leaving sadly after such a long and hard time.”

BILD reports that Sat1 will air Bilawa’s first show on the new broadcaster early in the spring. The artist will present various formats throughout the year.

This 56-year-old man is one of the most famous TV faces in Germany and is an ARD-rated attraction. Just last week, 3.81 million viewers watched his New Year’s Eve show on Das Erste. But he is mainly present at the ARD program before the evening “Quizduell”.

At the beginning of the year, Pilawa will be seen several times with shows already recorded on Erste TV and NDR. “Until the middle of the year, ‘Quizduell’ will run on Friday night at 6:50 p.m. All episodes of ‘NDR Quizshow’ for 2022 have already been taped and can be watched on NDR TV until the end of a year,” NDR said. On February 5th at 8:15 PM, Erste, ORF and Swiss Television will broadcast an episode of “Boundless Contest” for the last time under the direction of Jörg Bilawa.
