Janet Fox finished second in Essingen – Todtmoos

(BZ). Todtmus Mayor Janet Fox (55), placed second in the first round of Essingen’s mayoral election on Sunday. He got 34.6 of the votes. Her opponent, Sacha Felipe Hottinger (36), is ahead of her with 47.7 percent of the vote. Jens Balzer (33) came in third with 17.37 percent. 3,755 voters were invited to elect a new community president. Mayor Thomas Karst is no longer employed. During the election campaign, Janet Fox announced her work experience as mayor of Todtmus, her specialist knowledge and her origins from the neighboring town of Essingen. But its competitors also come from the area around Pforzheim, with even Balzer originating in Eisingen. The mayor’s candidacy caused discontent in Todtmus, because elections are also scheduled in the community next June. Both the CDU and the Liberal Voters were already looking for an opponent in case Fox wanted to compete again in Todtmus. She has been mayor there since 2014.
