ISDE: Great Britain’s World Cup lead continues! | News 2022

Great Britain reached the halfway point of this year’s FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) and won day three to further extend their lead in the World Cup race. The FIM ISDE competitors left days one and two of the special tests and headed south to Losier for a new track and new tests…

With all four Britons back in the top 15 in the overall standings, they continued to extend their lead and beat Italy by 58 seconds. They now go into the second half of the FIM ISDE with a two minute and twenty three second lead over Italy.

Italy finished second for the third day in a row. Although not close enough to compete for the win, they demonstrate incredible consistency and are ready to capitalize on any mistakes their rivals make.

The Italian camp had extra reason to be optimistic as Andrea Verona (GASGAS) also finished Day 3 with his first overall win of the week.

“I felt like I played well all week, but today it was perfect,” Verona said. “I remembered the lines very well in the new tests and was in a big fight for the win with Joseph (Garcia). In the final test, I went full speed and it worked.

Spain finished third, retaining third place overall in the race. Similarly, France finished fourth and the United States fifth, reflecting their World Cup berths.

However, after three days of racing, only three-hundredths of a second separates France and the United States, fueling the second half of the FIM ISDE.
