“I want to go to ESC!” – This is the name of the new format through which a place in the preliminary round of the German ESC is awarded. There are 15 candidates. The first three episodes have begun.

For whom is the dream of participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 within reach? The ESC winners star in an entertaining six-part documentary series Conchita Wurst and musician Rhea Garvey play a central role. As coaches, they accompany the singers on their way to the preliminary round of the “Eurovision Song Contest – German Final 2024”. The 15 talents were selected from all applications by the ESC editorial team together with the coaches.

Round after round in the German ESC final

Already in the opening episode of “I want to go to ESC!” The first steps are being taken: who of the 15 talents will join the teams of the top coaches and be able to reach greater musical levels in the upcoming episodes? With all their experience, Conchita and Rey take care of their students. However: On the way up the air becomes increasingly less dense. Only the best singers make it to the next rounds.

Exclusive debut in the ARD media library

The first three episodes of “I want to go to ESC!” It will be available from January 25th ARD media libraryThe fourth of January 30. They show which talents Conchita and Ria choose for their team and how to work with them. On the fifth episode of February 1, the talents will start working on their ESC songs. These songs are created under the supervision of the two coaches, who have the freedom to choose the composers they work with. They also take care of producing the final four songs with their own bands. It is then revealed which two chapters the coaches will go into the final episode – hence the live show on February 8.

Live Show “I want to go to ESC!” With four actions

Which of these acts makes it to the preliminary round will be decided by the “I want to go to ESC!” crowd. This evening from 10pm via remote and online voting. The show takes place in the Kreuzberg Festival Hall in Berlin, which has a capacity of approximately 400 spectators. Tickets for the show are available online TV tickets To buy.
