Germany wants to deliver weapons to Ukraine. It included 2,700 “Strela” anti-aircraft missiles. These are Soviet weapons from the former stores of the National People’s Army (NVA) in the German Democratic Republic. But part of the delivery seems to be junk.
again “Mirror” I reported, 700 delivery missiles are no longer operational. Thus, about a third of the deliveries are useless. 2,000 German-owned missiles can still be used.
Shells are formed in chests
But whether the missiles generally work is questionable. And in Germany, “Strela” missiles were withdrawn from the ongoing operations of the troops in 2014 – “for security reasons”.
The newspaper “Spiegel” reported that the wooden boxes that were supposed to be delivered to Ukraine are rotten. So strong that soldiers are only allowed to go to the place where they are stored in protective gear.

It should be destroyed in 2014
According to the newspaper, an internal memo from 2021 states that “due to the obsolescence of the rocket engine, the Strela missile is no longer safe to handle, so it can no longer be launched.” For this reason, the weapons had to be destroyed as early as 2014. (EU)
