How do you pronounce Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Nintendo Answers! – Game updates

In the recent Nintendo Direct we received, among other things, a brand new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Incidentally, the title also got “Tears of the Kingdom”. Brand new name. However, fans were still unsure of the exact meaning of the new name. ‘Tears’ can mean either ‘tears’ or ripping something off.

How to pronounce the tears of the kingdom

Both possibilities would definitely make sense, which is why Nintendo has now confirmed it to EurogamerThat the kingdom’s “tears” are actually tears. However, this revelation is not so surprising, after all, tears have been a part of Zelda games for a long time. For example, in Zelda: Skyward Sword, players were allowed to find Holy Tears, in the Tears of Kingdom trailer there are some items in the mural that look like tears, and the sheikha symbol is a tear-tipped eye.

However, just because the game’s name is actually a teardrop doesn’t mean that Nintendo didn’t consider the word’s second meaning either. In the accompanying trailer, some of Hyrule’s landmass appears to have been uprooted from the ground, and Hyrule’s seemingly damaged castle is hovering ominously above the ground.
