Germany Hockey Men ended their away games with yet another defeat in the FIH Pro League in India on Tuesday (March 14, 2023).
The newly created world champion team lost 1:2 (1:2) at the World Cup venue Rourkela Australia. Gonzalo Peillat (23rd min) Goals from Jack Whitten (12th) and Jack Welch (15th) saw the Australians reduce the deficit after trailing 2-0.
Only nine in the end
Due to time penalties against Niklas Bosserhoff and Teo Hinrichs, Germany played nine games in the finals and lost the tie.
On Monday, national coach Andre Henning’s selection had already lost 3:6 (2:4) against hosts India. Tom Krambusch (3rd), Baylet (23rd) and Malde Helwig (31st) scored for Germany.

After eight games, EM is fourth in the second world league. Over the weekend, DHB lost against India 2:3 (0:1) and won against Australia 1:0 (1:0).
