Higole PC: Especially compact tablet PC with 8K image output and battery

At first glance, the Higole Gole 1 R looks like a tablet, but it’s more of a cross between an All-In-One and a tablet. The model has many connections that speak of a more typical PC use, but the system also comes with a 5.5-inch touch screen and a 19W battery, with which the Gole 1 R can also be used independently of the power source allowed to work.

The processor used is RK3588, which is equipped with four Cortex A76 and Cortex A55 cores. The main memory is eight GB, and the eMMC is 128 GB. Memory can be expanded with a memory card.

A relatively large number of connections are included, so there are four USB 3.0 ports in addition to a USB Type-C port, which can also be used for electrical power or via DisplayPort as image output. An HDMI 2.1 output is available for image texture output, which should also allow 8K playback – in principle, the built-in RK3588 actually also allows for 8K content decoding. The HDMI 1.4 input is also part of the hardware. Headphones can be connected.

The Gole 1 R is also equipped with a microphone, speakers and also a G-sensor for adjusting the screen orientation. Complementing the devices are WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Gole 1 also appears in a variant without a screen and battery, among other things, but with an M.2 interface.

As part of the Kickstarter campaign, supporters will receive a Gole 1 without an offer from the sum of €299, for the Gole 1 R variant, it is worth at least €346. Delivery is scheduled for December. Supporting crowdfunding campaigns also involves financial risk in this case. Manufacturer Higole has already implemented crowdfunding campaigns.
