Concussions at Hertha BSC: After defeat against Union Berlin, the Bundesliga club put managing director Fredi Bobic out the door.

Berlin – from Fredi Bobic at Hertha BSC. the BundesligaThe club separated from its sports director. After the disappointing 0: 2 (0: 1) match in the capital’s derby against 1. FC Union Berlin, the executive committee and supervisory board reached a conclusion on Saturday to release the 51-year-old from his duties “with immediate effect” as announced by the club. Immediately after the match, Bobic gave interviews and gave ailing coach Sandro Schwartz a job guarantee before the match.

While Bayern Munich did not succeed in overcoming the tie with Eintracht Frankfurt, Hertha, after a weak start to the year with its defeats against VfL Bochum (1: 3) and against VfL Wolfsburg (0: 5), occupies only 17th place in the table, threatening the next relegation. The club called a press conference on Sunday at 1pm.

Dismissal of Fredi Bobic: Hertha BSC has parted ways with the sporting director

Bobic was appointed general manager of the capital club in April 2021 for the 2021/22 season, succeeding veteran manager Michael Pritz. Former national striker Bobic had previously worked successfully at Eintracht Frankfurt. Also last season, Hertha was in danger of relegation for a long time and could only stay in the Bundesliga with Felix Magath, who participated as a rescuer, by relegating in front of Hamburger SV.

The results of Bobic’s departure from Hertha Berlin to Schwartz remained open on Saturday night. “We have great confidence in the coach,” captain Marco Richter said after losing the derby. “It’s no secret that it’s a great fit for us. It misses points just as much as we miss it.” We hope the Common Way continues. However, that doesn’t seem like a job guarantee in the precarious situation in which Hertha BSC finds itself.
