Harry Kane to Bayern: the transfer is fixed

The deal was apparently fixed when several German media outlets caused a stir again. Tottenham reportedly prevented Harry Kane from flying into Munich at London airport. After a brief renegotiation between Tottenham and Bayern Munich, the star striker certainly has the go-ahead for a change.

After a long transfer window with difficult negotiations, Harry Kane will sign for Bayern Munich. Fees: 100 million francs plus 20 million gratuities. It had already been announced on Thursday morning that the two clubs had reached an agreement. Then there was brief confusion over Kane himself pulling out – but now the move is certain. The 30-year-old signed a four-year contract with Munich. The medical examination must be completed on Friday.

The star is the most expensive signing in the history of the Munich club and the history of the Bundesliga. The previous record holder was Frenchman Lucas Hernandez, who signed Bayern Munich from Atletico Madrid in 2019 for 80 million Swiss francs. The left-back was sold to Paris Saint-Germain this summer for around CHF50m including bonuses. According to media reports, Kane will be Bayern Munich’s highest earner.

Harry Kane is a goal machine

After the departure of goalkeeper Robert Lewandowski in the summer of 2022, the Munich side once again achieved a world-class nine with Kane. Ken has been offering his services for years – and how. Last season alone, he scored 30 goals in 38 Premier League matches, and only Erling Haaland (36 goals) of champions Manchester City was better. However, Kane plays for Tottenham and thus in a much weaker team.

With 213 goals, he trails only Alan Shearer (260) on the list of all-time Premier League goalscorers. The top scorer’s record also reliably scores in the national team. And it is precisely this reliability that made him interesting for Bayern Munich, among others.
