  • Legendary rock band AC/DC will tour this summer for the first time in nearly eight years.
  • On their “Power Up” tour, the band will also perform in Switzerland – at Letzigrund in Zurich – on June 29.
  • AC/DC wants to hold nine concerts in Germany and two in Austria. Pre-sales begin February 16.

The Australians, famous for rock anthems such as “Highway To Hell”, “Back In Black” and “Thunderstruck”, announced on Monday a European tour from May to August 2024, confirming months of speculation.

Rumors about the tour have been going on for a long time. Last week, AC/DC sparked speculation with a countdown on their website.

In addition to guitarist Angus Young, who always appears in school uniform, and longtime singer Brian Johnson, the “Power Up” tour will feature rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, who succeeded band founder Malcolm Young, who fell ill in 2014 and died in 2017. Recently joined The band features former Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney and drummer Matt Logue, who performed with AC/DC at last year's Power Trip festival.
