Ice Hockey World Cup: First elimination team confirmed

Even before the last game of the Ice Hockey World Cup, the English had no chance of staying in the league. Sweden took first place.

Great Britain were the first team to be eliminated from the Ice Hockey World Cup in the Czech Republic before the last game. Future Berliner Liam Kirk suffered his sixth defeat against Norway in the sixth preliminary round 2:5 (0:3, 1:1, 1:1) and had to go for the fifth time since 1951. 1962, 1994 and 2022 Second Class. The last game against Austria in Prague on Tuesday (12.20pm) means no more for England.

In the German Group B in Ostrava, gold holders Sweden recorded their sixth win in their sixth game to top the group. In the 3:1 (0:0, 1:1, 2:0) against France, Tre Kronor's NHL stars had a tough time.

The Frenchman will be the last preliminary round opponent of the German side, who have already qualified for the quarter-finals, on Tuesday (from 12.20pm on LIVETICKER).
