Gladbach Aberl sporting director loves Cedrina Schaller

Wrapped in thick jackets, they hug at the edge of the field. ASV Einigkeit Süchteln is currently facing SC 1911 Kapellen-Erft. Max Eberl, director of sports in Gladbach, hugs a woman from behind, looking dazzled on the field, as his son Max Junior’s team (21) plays Capelin – eventually losing 2-0.

The woman pictured this weekend with headliner Nati stars Yann Sommer, Breel Embolo, Nico Elvedi and Denis Zakaria is Sedrina Schaller. For her part, she was known as a TV woman from central Switzerland.

The 33-year-old has worked for Tele 1 for almost six years – during which time he has also shown significant football experience. Because of their domestic association, notably through Super League club FC Luzern. On February 23 this year, she was in front of the camera for the last time on Tele 1 (see video above).

Schaller has only worked in Borussia Mönchengladbach since the beginning of May. At the club of former YB head coach Adi Hütter (51) she had the opportunity to start as an assistant to team manager Christofer Heimeroth.

She only broke up with Eberl after several surveys of football games together. This is reported by Bild, who was also the first to post a photo of the two. “It is true that we are getting along very well,” Eberle, who separated from his wife Simone three years ago, confirmed to the German newspaper.

Schaller is one of the many background players in the traditional Bundesliga club. She is in direct contact with the stars and organizes flights, accommodations and meals. They are also present, for example, when a new addition needs help settling in. This ranges from looking for a place to live, through errands at the residents’ office to supporting families with children who have to go to school.

In May, Schaller told the Luzerner Zeitung newspaper: “I fought hard for this job and I am now very happy to be here.” This state does not have to change because of love. (mpe)
