“I’m not cheerful, but it’s better than death. So I’ll take it, I have two options.” George Clooney recently commented on his 60th birthday with humor. No need to worry about his gray hair: The Hollywood star appears to be more attractive as much as the silver fox.
As a young man with dark curls, it was really tough in his early days. No one in Hollywood was interested in the son of a former beauty queen and presenter from a small town in Kentucky. With roles in B movies like “The Return of the Killer Tomatoes” (1988) he got his spurs and slept on the floor with friends. The breakthrough came in a white coat: In the mid-1990s, Clooney captured the hearts of viewers as pediatrician Doug Ross in the hospital chain “Emergency Room” – twice dubbed the “Sexiest Man Alive”.
More than a pretty face
Whether in films like “Ocean’s Eleven” (2001) or in the political thriller “Syriana” (2005): Clooney has long since arrived at Hollywood Olympus. And thanks to his friendly charm, men love him, too: he’s not a competitor, he’s a role model. After all, the man has more than one pretty face, and with every wrinkle and groove he shows more coordination, whether in his famous coffee ad for Nespresso or in his political commitment. Many would have liked to have seen the actor instead of Trump as President of the United States. He once said that he wasn’t quite right for it.
From lover to family man
Clooney prefers to engage in his own way, be it humanitarian projects or work. In the current climate thriller “The Midnight Sky,” for example, he draws attention to environmental problems and takes the lead as the main actor, director, and producer. He also removes the reins, especially with the Amal Clooney team (43). Thanks to a human rights lawyer, the eternal bachelorette went from being a man of heart to a family man. “Without it, my life was rather empty.”
In fact, Clooney is a belated mistake. It wasn’t until he was 35 that he became a movie star, and when he was 56 years old, he became a father. He personally changed his twins’ diapers, perhaps with the same mischievous charm that seduced his fans. Even after the age of 60, he will not stop doing it.
