Gamescom LAN will continue in 2025 – just before the premiere, in February.
1,200 gamers, 300 trade visitors and around 100 influencers: this was the result of the first Gamescom LAN from March 15 to 17, 2024. The response to the “brand expansion” of the Cologne Games Fair encouraged the organizers to hold another edition – this time from February 21 to 23, 2025, as Dennis Gielen, head of TakeTV, announced via LinkedIn. Together with MYI Entertainment, the Krefeld agency and production company were the initiators of this format, which combines the XXL LAN party with esports tournaments.
In competitions in disciplines such as: Rocket League, brave, league of legends, Counter Strike 2 or rainbow six siege The prize pool reached €5,000. Special feature: Fans of social media stars like ElianN97, Maxim, Honeypuu, HandOfBlood or Rocket Beans TV were able to book into dedicated areas and play with their favorite artists.
Pre-sales for Gamescom LAN 2025 tickets will now officially begin for Gamescom 2024 from August 21-25, which will have a half-hall size compared to the first show.
About the title “The biggest LAN party in Germany” In addition to Gamescom LAN, Caggtus Leipzig (coming soon, April 11-13, 2025) and NorthCon 2024 (October 3-6) will compete at Holstenhallen in Neumünster, Schleswig-Holstein. It is currently unclear whether and how DreamHack Hannover will continue.
