Fujifilm announced a high-speed wide-angle lens for its X Series cameras for the end of May 2021. The FUJINON XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR is compact, weighs 370g and is weatherproof. Its focal length of 18 mm corresponds to – converted to 35 mm – 27 mm format. The optical structure of the XF18mmF1.4 includes 15 elements in nine groups, including three aspherical lenses and one ED element to reduce optical aberrations. Cliff April 15, 2021. The new FUJINON XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR is 18mm long (27mm KB equivalent), offers high speed F1.4 and is suitable for a variety of photography situations.
At just 7.56cm long and weighing 370g, the XF18mmF1.4 has a filter size of 62mm and a focus distance of at least 20cm (distance from sensor to object). This makes it a versatile lens, from landscape and city photography to portrait and wedding photography. The high brightness of the F1.4 provides additional flexibility in challenging lighting conditions, which also enables recordings with exceptionally beautiful bokeh.
FUJINON XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR fully aligns with the FUJIFILM X Series philosophy of developing lightweight and compact cameras and lenses with superb image quality. It delivers great optical performance without being heavy or bulky. The X Series range now includes a total of 39 lenses.

Exceptional performance
The optical structure of the XF18mmF1.4 includes 15 elements in nine groups, including three aspherical lenses and one ED element to reduce optical aberrations. This means that the smallest image details are reproduced with a high degree of sharpness and sharpness.

Weatherproof
The XF18mmF1.4 is also ideally suited for use in adverse weather and adverse conditions. The metal housing is sealed in eight places. This protects the interior of the lens from water splashes and dust and ensures that it is ready for use in cold weather of minus 10 ° C.
The locking function allows the aperture ring to be locked in the “auto” position to prevent it from being accidentally set when taking pictures.
