Four Hills Championship: Karl Geiger in Oberstdorf Qualifiers in second place

The Great Germany Tour hopes Karl Geiger (28) will jump to second in the qualifiers at the start of the Seventy Four Hills Championships in Oberstdorf, and Ryoyo Kobayashi (25/Japan) was the best!

This is the devil violinist! Despite rain, tough wind conditions and a long break, Geiger kept his cool and showed off the competition despite the tailwind: it’s predictable!

Second place in the qualifiers: the best conditions for the first competition on Wednesday (4.30 pm, ARD and Eurosport live).

Geiger on ARD: “In Oberstdorf you can’t win the tour, but you can lose it. I’ll take it bravely and that’s all I can do.”

But not only Geiger can be happy: Markus Eisenbechler in sixth has shown the curve of his shape to go upward. Severin Freund (33) caused a surprise. The world and Olympic champion returned, taking ninth place.

Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger, on the other hand, won’t play a role in the final bill for the tour: The previous high jump finished 51st, so he missed the first jump by one place. “Right now I’m lacking in ease. Snowboarding is very difficult, and small mistakes are punished very quickly,” Wellinger says.

However, these DSV vultures qualify: Pius Paschke (17. / WSV Kiefersfelden), Konstantin Schmid (20. / WSV Oberaudorf), Stefan Leahy (38. / SC Willingen).
