Germany: Van Bommel must go to Wolfsburg

VFL Wolfsburg parted ways with coach Mark van Bommel with immediate effect. Lower Saxony announced on Sunday, about 24 hours after its 2-0 defeat to FC Freiburg. The Swiss team Kevin Mbabo, Renato Steffen and Admir Mohamed recently lost four consecutive times in the German League and did not achieve any victory in 8 matches in all competitions. Only 44-year-old Dutchman Van Bommel has taken over at Wolfsburg this season. Van Bommel assistant Michael Frontzek will lead training on a temporary basis.
