Football – Al-Ittihad Women twice in November against the world champion America – Sports

Frankfurt/Main (dpa) – At the end of the year, German footballers faced off against the two-time world champion from the United States.

The team that finished second in the European Championship will meet the US team on their international tour on November 11 (1:00 am CET) in Fort Lauderdale / Florida and on November 13 in Harrison / New Jersey (11:00 pm CET). The US national team is currently at the top of the FIFA World Rankings, ahead of Germany.

“The matches against the USA – then in the country of the world champions, where women’s football is so important – are always something very special. You can’t wish for a nicer end to this memorable year,” said Martina Vos, national team coach. Tecklenburg in a letter to the Football Association.

The trip is an important part of preparations for next summer’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Before that, the team surrounding Captain Alexandra Pope will play a friendly match against France on October 7 (8.30pm/ARD) in Dresden.
