Florian Silbereisen (40) heralds a new era in “DSDS”. Because instead of vile sayings, RTL’s show casting “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” on a beloved track, praises and consoles the excluded candidates. And the captain of “Traumschiff” and famous star Florian Silbereisen, who celebrated his premiere on Saturday as the successor to judge Dieter Bohlen (63), did not attract three million viewers in front of the screen.
Two years ago the number was more than four million. “I was expecting worse odds,” Silberisen tells Bild. Fans are also disappointed with fellow judges, singer Elsie DeLange (44) and music producer Toby Judd (53).
Very few know the two judges
Many fans asked, “Who’s he supposed to be?” They also miss rough boards. Silbereisen says the show is in transition. This takes time and patience.
RTL ended its collaboration with Dieter Bohlen last year. The reason: With his blunt style, he no longer fits the more family-friendly concept of German private radio.
