Great Britain received a bitter slap after their encouraging performance in a 2-4 win over Canada on Day One. Great Britain lost 8-0 to Finland in Prague. Oliver Kapanen scored the first and last goals of the game to become the first player to score a hat-trick in this World Cup. Finland goalie Emil Larmi had to face just 14 shots for his shutout.
