Fendt tractors: new attachments for retrofitting

Fendt tractors often work on farms for years and many hours of operation. It can be equipped with many additional functions outside of work. There are now some retrofit solutions for existing devices to better meet customer needs.

As standard, the Fendt 200 and Fendt 300 Vario series models are equipped with a maximum of four hydraulic valves. If a front bearing is added, this means that two of the available valves are already occupied. The update solution is now available for all models in the Fendt 200 Vario Gen3 and 300 Vario Gen4 series equipped with FendtONE, regardless of equipment line.

Using the retrofit kit, growers can equip their equipment with two additional hydraulic valves that can be freely customized. They are then fully integrated into FendtONE as the fifth and sixth hydraulic valves (brown and purple).

At the back of the tractor, the two valves are installed in the position of the yellow and blue valves. The multicoupler in the middle of the tractor operates the yellow and blue valves as usual. With a front loader installed, farmers can use up to four valves to operate grassland or arable farming implements.

In addition to the valves, the retrofit kit includes a cable assembly, associated tubing, color-coded clips for the valve covers and installation instructions, and can be ordered from the sales partner from Q3 2024.

Tractors usually have limited storage space outside. Hitch storage, hand wash tank, road cleaning equipment or accessories are rarely available.

In the future, farmers and contractors will be able to use the chassis organizer to attach the base plate to the right side of the tractor to install various transport brackets. A socket holder or hand-washing container with built-in soap dispenser can then be mounted on this base plate.

Other options include a tool box or holder for brooms or shovels, for example. The body regulator and corresponding attachments can be ordered from the dealer from Q3 2024 and are available for the Fendt 300 to Fendt 700 Vario series.

When mowing with a lever mower, or working in heavy rain, wind or snowfall, the side windows of machines used in agriculture and municipalities as well as when working on construction sites, in the cultivation of special crops or in forests can become very dirty.

Fendt now offers a retrofit solution for side window spaces. It can be installed on both tractors and harvesters. So far, only a few machines offer this option, as it works on the right side of the car if no door is installed there.

The side window wiper cannot yet be ordered for left side windows. Adjustable windshield wipers can be installed on both doors and windows using an adhesive connection. The retrofit package includes the wiper module, wiring harness with control panel and wiper water tank.

The scanning angle is calibrated using a diagnostic tool already available in workshops. The side window wiper for retrofit can be ordered from the dealer starting Q4 2024.

Many attachments require additional terminals or controllers. This is exactly why MultifixBoard is now available for the interior.

The MultifixBoard simply clips onto the end holder located on the right rear. The MultifixBoard's universal hole pattern allows for the installation of RAM balls, standard pockets and holders, as well as device holders. Additional clips ensure clean cable routing, while a cut-out window allows viewing of wide attachments such as a mower or seed drill.

In addition, the CabMount is a RAM ball adapter for mounting various control terminals or a monitor to display a camera image on the A-pillar. The CabMount can also be used as an attachment point for an additional cup holder.

Customers can order the MultifixBoard and CabMount Adapter from their sales partner from Q2 2024, and are available for the Fendt 300 Vario to Fendt 700 Vario series.

For use in particularly dusty areas, Fendt offers a self-cleaning air filter as a retrofit solution for machines in the Fendt 900 Vario Gen6 series. The retrofit solution is fully integrated into the device and is recognized as an ISOBUS device. Control is carried out directly via the terminal.

The filter system combines continuous dust extraction with active filter cleaning. It blows while you drive, so there's no downtime to manually clean the filter.

During the cleaning cycle, the filter is inflated twice. The dust filter has its own compressed air tank. The flow of compressed air is controlled via a solenoid or pulse valve. Shortly before blowing, the fan speeds up and then continues to run for a short time. This increases the cleaning effect.

Cleaning can be performed automatically or completely manually if desired. For installation, components from the Fendt 900 Vario Gen7 series are used, which were developed specifically for this system.

The self-cleaning air filter as a retrofit solution for machines in the Fendt 900 Vario Gen6 series will be available at dealers from the third quarter of 2024. The scope of delivery includes all components such as the new air filter housing, valves, pressure accumulators, cable assembly and control unit for seamless integration.
