Twitter is getting rid of tweets with an expiration date تاريخ
The so-called fleets, which disappear after 24 hours, did not achieve the success that Twitter had hoped for.
Twitter has announced that its experiment with self-disappearing tweets has failed. Fleets, introduced around the world last November, weren’t going to encourage more users to post more on the service, as had been hoped.
Twitter said in a blog post on Wednesday that the job will therefore cease on August 3. At the same time, the fleets do not completely disappear without a trace: the camera of the official Twitter app must be improved with elements initially developed for this.
fleets of stories
Fleets create stands for “Tweets in transit” (“Tweets in transit”). They are automatically deleted after 24 hours. You can only reply to this as a direct message, but not on the public timeline. It was also hoped, she said, that reluctant users would dare to share content on Twitter.
The functionality was also Twitter’s response to the trend toward Stories functionality, which is popular with many users. The idea of making selected photos and videos available to friends for 24 hours was initially implemented by the Snapchat photo app. Then it was copied from Facebook to apps like WhatsApp and others.
