Krefeld. Glass bike towers with fully automated controls, a city balcony with urban gardening options or a glass office space above the train station, from which the city backdrop can be seen. As part of a realization competition, architects and planning offices from across Germany have shown impressively what the area around Willy-Brandt-Platz on the south side of the main train station in Krefeld could look like in the future. The four entries that placed first in the competition and the entry recognized by the jury will now be presented from 1 March to 1 April in a free exhibition in the residence hall of Petersstraße 121.
You can visit the exhibition without registering
The visit is possible without registration during the working hours of the residence, from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm, using a 3G card. The winning design will also be showcased by Lorber Paul Architekten GmbH (Cologne), studiogrüngrau Landschaftsarchitektur GmbH and Lindschulte Ingenieurgesellschaft (both in Düsseldorf). The jury decided unanimously to enter the competition. More information about the competition.
