Esports – Halo Infinite announces a new eSports system – Sports

Cologne (dpa) – A new esports ecosystem will be built around the Halo Infinite shooter. Developer 343 Industries will work with tournament organizers ESL and Faceit for this year and next.

The Halo Championship Series (HCS) will take place in the regions of North America, Mexico and Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand. In a press release, 343 talk about Halo’s “largest, strongest, most open and most competitive” esports program to date.

The ecosystem is also supported by in-game purchases. Players can qualify for tournaments using regional and world rankings. The World Championships will be held at the end of October 2022 in Seattle, USA.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta has been launched

Tournaments are held in Europe and North America under the ESL Dreamhack brand. With Dreamhack Anaheim in mid-February, there is already an offline event for the competition series in the USA.

The beta version of Halo Infinite multiplayer was launched on Monday without warning. The single-player mode with a campaign around the main character Master Chief is set to appear on December 8th.
