Accordingly, the UAE space probe is scheduled to travel to Venus by mid-2028. The study is expected to approach the planet and orbit in 2029 – then return to Earth. By 2030, the spacecraft is scheduled to fly near the first asteroid.

The study is to study a total of seven asteroids in the belt 500 million kilometers from Earth, with the entire mission scheduled to run for five years, including landing on one of the rocks or ice floes. The study is expected to travel 3.6 billion kilometers during this period. One of the biggest challenges is that the device approaches the sun up to 109 million kilometers. The study should be appropriately protected. In addition, little solar energy is available for most of the work.

Fourth country to land asteroid?

Coincidentally, if successful, the UAE would be the fourth country to land on an asteroid. Before that, it was developed by China, Japan and the United States.
