E-Sports – Three teams compete for the remaining spot in the LEC Playoffs – Sports

Berlin (dpa) – On the penultimate day of the regular season in the LEC Champions League, none of the remaining teams were able to purchase their last qualifying ticket. Meanwhile, the top four places of the season have been decided.

There was an important match between Excel and Astralis on match day for a place in the playoffs. Excel showed a convincing performance and scored an important victory.

“I felt very relieved after the match,” said Erlind “Nokidock” Fatevik Holm in a post-match interview. “I have a feeling that we are the team that deserves to be involved in the qualifiers.”

Vitality also holds a small chance in the playoffs: the team unexpectedly won against the best favorite Rogue and tied with Excel and Astralis in the table. A decision on sixth place in the qualifiers will only be made among the three teams on the last day of the match.

The match of the week between Fnatic and the MAD Lions was all about a good spot in the playoffs. But MAD played hard and won the match. As in the spring, Fnatic will only go through the qualifiers in fifth and thus with a worse starting position.

With Rogue, Misfits, MAD and G2 Esports, the top four places in the playoffs are decided. The Misfits and G2 both won their encounters and scored important victories in the race for the top. However, exact placements will only be determined on the last day of the regular season.
