Harmony only for the camera? You might think that when you think about the previous jury time of Dieter Bohlen (68) and Thomas Gottschalk (72) in “Das Supertalent”. In season six, the two judged the show’s contestants’ skill. However, looking back, things don’t seem to have been very harmonious behind the scenes, if the latest statements from the “Modern Talking” star can be believed.
“Gotschalk is always very nice on TV. In his private life, he is not what you imagine,” says Dieter Bohlen in an interview with German “Hamburg Radio”. Reason: behind the scenes he should spoil the mood of the staff. “He eliminates his colleagues behind the scenes And he doesn’t always tell the truth.”
It seems that Thomas Gottschalk and Dieter Bohlen do not like each other
Bohlen does not provide specific information about what exactly happened and when he had this experience. However, the two have been seen together in front of the TV camera many times or have had similar projects. Things don’t always seem to go well. Thomas Gottschalk wrote in his autobiography of time with the pop giant in “Das Supertalent”: “With a steady look at himself, he subordinates everything to the goal of looking good on himself.”
Most recently, Gottschalk replaced Dieter Bohlen on “DSDS” in 2021, when Bohlen failed live shows due to illness. A moderator commented, “Wetten, dass..?” On the unplanned publication saying “First of all, the other Titan does not disappoint, and secondly, I had nothing better to do,” later joking: “Dieter is history, I am a legend.”
Kind words only to Pietro Lombardi
The background to Bohlen’s interview was the broadcaster’s choice to find a new medium. Bohlin immediately revealed what makes him a star: “The most important thing before the performance and everything: it has to communicate.”
As a good example, he cites the 2011 “Germany Looking for the Superstar” winner, Pietro Lombardi (30). “He was not the best singer we had on the season. But Pietro built a bridge over the hearts of the audience.”
Working for the last ‘DSDS’ season
The pop giant is currently spending a lot of time with the popular character. Along with musicians Katia Krasavis (26) and Leonie (25), they are both part of the latest “DSDS” jury at the moment. The show will air for the last time next spring, but Dieter Bohlen, who has already been kicked out of the show and replaced by Florian Silberisen, 41, has been reinstated. (IMH)
