DHL messenger makes space for ambulances and gets into the bed of the Üstra . track

Hanover.A DHL vehicle blocked traffic at the Stadtbahn in Hannover-Linhausen on Wednesday afternoon. The yellow truck rolled into the lane of Lines 4 and 5 near Leinhausen Bahnhof around 4:30 pm. Ostra used buses in the restricted section for about half an hour. The firefighters had to attend.

According to the police, the parcel deliverer had to give way to an ambulance with blue lights and a siren. “It looks like he’s gone down to the track bed,” says spokeswoman Janick Bormann. But no one was hurt. The DHL car was heading towards Stöcken when it went on the rails just behind the station. The fire department pulled the truck with a crane.

City trains 4 and 5 are not working

The yellow Iveco was stuck so hard that light rail lines 4 and 5 were unable to operate in either direction until it was recovered. So Üstra has set up a rail-bus exchange service between Stadtfriedhof Stöcken and Herrenhäuser Gardens stations. The road reopened around 5 pm.
