Dell Technologies has launched a new 4K webcam. As announced by the company, the Dell Ultrasharp webcam has a Sony Starvis CMOS sensor that delivers 4k resolution. The multi-element lens ensures high image resolution, even in less than ideal lighting conditions. The device has an integrated digital HDR function for balanced lighting, while 3D / 2D video noise reduction automatically corrects grainy images.
Built-in artificial intelligence
The camera has many smart features. According to the press release, Dell Technologies has equipped the camera with an automatic framing function. This puts people in focus using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The webcam’s viewing angle can be set to 65, 78 and 90 degrees and allows free choice of perspective thanks to the 5x zoom.
security and handling
The webcam can be used as an access control because it is compatible with Windows Hello. On Dell Technologies computers, the express login function via the webcam can also be used. This function identifies the owner by the distance sensors of the webcam and logs him in. If the owner moves away from the camera, they should be automatically logged out according to Dell.
The webcam is also equipped with a magnetic lens hood. In addition, the aluminum cylinder camera with magnetic monitor mount and tripod can be flexibly placed.
