Berlin – The number of new cases of corona in Berlin remains high. According to the current case report released by the Health Department on Friday, 1,288 cases were reported within one day. The previous day was 1022, Wednesday 1327. The 7-day incidence rate rose to 158.6.
The value indicates the number of infections that occurred per 100,000 inhabitants within a week. On Monday it was still 115.4.
In the Neukölln region it climbed to 206.1, in Reinickendorf and Spandau it was only slightly lower with 201.6 and 199.8.
The lowest value is found at Steglitz-Zehlendorf with 122.9.
The proportion of Covid 19 patients in intensive care units in Berlin is 26.1 percent. As with the 7-day incidence, the warning light from the corona continues to indicate red.
The R value for 4 days, which indicates the number of people that an infected person infects on average, according to the information at 1.08 and therefore in the green zone of a traffic light.
According to the current case report, 158,308 people have been infected with the Coronavirus in Berlin since the beginning of the epidemic. Of them, 144,284 are now considered to have recovered.
